White Pomeranian Puppies

What You May Not Know About White Pomeranian Puppies

At first glance, a litter of white Pomeranian puppies might look like a pile of giant cotton balls.  They are adorable, fluffy and have a bit of a cocky personality.  These little pups are extremely affectionate and incredibly loyal to their owners.

White Pomeranian puppies are the hardest color to breed of all of the Pomeranian because if there is too much of the white bred bloodline in the puppies, they begin to change their appearance looking like something other then what they should.  When picking out white Pomeranian puppies you should always ask to see the puppy's parents to get an idea of what they will look like grown up.  Quite often you can actually get a cuter white one if you buy from a breeder that breeds all colors instead of one that specializes strictly in white.

White Pomeranian puppies can sometimes be confused for albino Pomeranian.  There is nothing unhealthy about the albino, it just has a bit of a genetic flaw that makes it lose its pigmentation.  This makes a puppy that has the same fur color as white Pomeranian puppies, only instead it also has blue eyes and a pink or white nose which can be quite cute and sometimes preferred.  When picking out white Pomeranian puppies be sure to check the fur.  If it has been improperly bred it may have a dirty or yellow shade to it.

Cleaning your white Pomeranian puppies can be a daily job.  They will show every bit of dirt on their white fur and will require a lot of baths.  You should use a recommended shampoo for white dogs to ensure their brightness and be certain to rinse them out thoroughly.  Try to get your puppy as dry as possible before it starts running around or its white wet fur will pick up every bit of dust and dirt it can find and your pup will not even look like it just had a bath.

White Pomeranian puppies are lively little dogs, very smart and love to learn.  Even though they are tiny they are great watch dogs.  They will bark at the doorbell and the mailman and they will protect their master.  They can easily suffer from separation anxiety and their bold temperament often causes them to attack larger dogs.  They are a very bossy little dog and although they are usually sweet and affectionate toward their owners, white Pomeranian puppies are not recommended for a house with small children.  They can growl, snap and bite, these are all common characteristic traits of the breed.

These are great dogs for apartment living.  Although they are very active, they don't necessarily require a back yard but they do need a walk everyday.  Failing to exercise this breed can result in boredom and lead to behavioral problems.  If you don't have the time to exercise your dog, don't get mad or be surprised when they act out.

White Pomeranian puppies have a long, double coat that should be brushed often and it is time consuming but quite easy and they generally love to be groomed.  They will constantly shed all year long and will blow their undercoat twice a year which will result in a large amount of brief shedding.

These dogs are considered an ideal companion for a single person, especially elderly people, because of the affection and undying loyalty they always give to one honored person around them.  They're life expectancy is very long with an average of 15 years and they generally will weigh 3 to 7 pounds fully grown.  White Pomeranian puppies are as charming as they are cute and although they can be a bit too bossy for some people, they make perfect pets for others.
